The royal power in England has a long history and honorable traditions. The book by historian Vadim Erlichman includes documentary-based portraits of twelve British kings and queens — from the legendary Arthur to the reigning Elizabeth II. The author also briefly discusses the reigns of all other monarchs of England and Great Britain, starting with the unifier of the country — Egbert of Wessex. At the end of the book, reference materials are provided, including lists of kings.
