It is no secret that Petson is a bit of a scatterbrained old man. Flour may end up under the sofa, and pepper in the bicycle basket. His wonderful recipes are scattered throughout the house. One day, the kitten Findus decided that it was time to gather them into a cookbook, and here is what came of it! Petson and Findus will teach you how to bake pies and rolls, cook soups, fruit jellies, porridge, and even make carrot jam. Petson's recipes are very simple and delicious, and each of them is preceded by a little story from the life of the old man and the kitten. Most of the dishes older children can make themselves, while simpler tasks are provided for the littlest ones, usually carried out by Findus: rolling meatballs from minced meat, mixing sauce, measuring milk and flour, or crushing breadcrumbs.
