Ash in the Dark

This book is the second part of the autobiography of biologist, thinker, and science popularizer Richard Dawkins. It describes Dawkins' professional path as an already established scientist, detailing his meetings with major researchers and his work on the scientific works that brought him fame, as well as showing the evolution of his views on the interaction of science, culture, and religion. A significant part of the book is devoted to how Dawkins arrived at his most famous ideas, such as the concepts of the meme and the extended phenotype.
