Set of the Wrath of Egypt. The Temple of the Rising Flame

As a self-proclaimed God, he is a powerful archetype of the Adversary and an attractive model for the practitioner seeking initiative in the mysteries of self-realization. Feared by the faint-hearted and revered by those who sought power, he has become a symbol of storm and change, movement and transformation, strength and energy. His fiery nature embodies lust and rage, which are the driving forces on the path, while his Black Flame is the inner spark of Divinity that consistently becomes the fiery pillar of ascent on the path of self-initiation. His bifurcated knife severs attachments to the surrounding world, freeing the initiate from the bonds of slavery and senseless ignorance, while his scepter embodies power and might, showing us how to consume our gods and be masters of our fate. These representations of Set and many others are the subject of this anthology. Here you will find glimpses of his mysteries provided by active practitioners of Draconian magic and initiates of the Left-Hand Path. Essays and poetry, portraits and print art, rituals and meditations - all contribute to the depiction of Set as a god who is still alive and active in our time, perhaps even more than ever before. We will examine his origins, ancient myths and legends, as well as modern interpretations of his role on the Left-Hand Path - all written from the perspective of the Draconian tradition.
