«Cold Heart» is a moralistic fairy tale about a... young coalman Peter Munk, who intends to change his poor and boring life not through his own efforts, but through magic. In order to gain wealth, he is ready to make a deal with the sorcerer Holle-Michel, but in return for his help, the latter asks for nothing less than the heart of the young man. Will Peter go for this deal? Can he live to his heart's content, without experiencing any feelings or emotions, with a cold heart in his chest?
The text of the tale is adapted for levels A1-A2 (for beginners learning German) and is supplemented with comments. After the fairy tale, exercises with keys are offered. At the end of the book - a dictionary of the vocabulary used, facilitating reading.
