The Tale of Sonечка
«The Tale of Sonечка» was written by Akhmatova in emigration in memory of her friend, the actress of the second studio of Vakhtangov, Sofia Goliday, with whom she spent the spring of 1919 in Moscow. In this autobiographical tale, many... famous people from the capital of 1917-1919, who surrounded Akhmatova, are featured: Evgeny Vakhtangov, Yuri Zavadsky, Pavel Antokolsky. The poems dedicated to them, as well as the cycle «Poems to Sonечка», supplemented the collection.
