The Code of Honor of the Samurai

The book presents the most authoritative texts dedicated to the code of honor of the samurai or Bushido, the Way of the Warrior. Originating in ancient Japan, this set of rules and regulations governed the behavior and daily life of the samurai, and to some extent, retains its relevance to this day. For notions such as honor, loyalty, dignity, and duty never become outdated. The works of the great samurai Yuzan Daidoji and the Zen monk Takuan Soho are complemented by the Legends of Takuan, allowing the reader to grasp the wisdom of preceding centuries.
