The Trap, or How to Kill Achilles

How to kill the invulnerable Achilles, the hero of the Trojan War and favorite of the gods? With an arrow in the heel or an arrow in the heart? Why is there a scandal at a prestigious American university surrounding... a millennia-old story described by Homer in the "Iliad"?
A lecturer, a Russian émigré, gives lectures to students on ancient Greek literature. He has a favorite job, friends, a lover, and life goes on as usual.
Suddenly, a group of female students demands to prohibit the mention of the "Iliad" as a misogynistic work.
A new perspective on gender issues breaks the boundaries of time. The fabric of myth and modernity becomes a single canvas, in which it is already difficult to separate the life of Achilles and the life of the main character of the novel. In the struggle for his position and masculinity, as understood by the main character of the novel, he, like Achilles, becomes vulnerable.
