Diary of Great Lent. 7 weeks of working on oneself

We enter Great Lent. The first week usually passes with a sense of uplift, we are full of strength and enthusiasm. But gradually attention dissipates, occupied by everyday affairs. We remember about Lent only during meals and in church. Week after week – and we find ourselves on the threshold of Holy Week with the feeling that we could have experienced this Lent differently, done more, and truly worked on ourselves during these seven completely special weeks when the entire Church lives in anticipation of the Bright Resurrection of Christ. In search of opportunities for a different, conscious experience of each day of Great Lent, we have prepared this diary.
