English from the Very Beginning

The book is designed for teaching the basics of the English language to children of preschool and early school age and represents a cycle of 30 lessons with a unified plot and recurring characters — forest dwellers.
.Learning to read starts... with the alphabet. Each letter is traced by the child, and tasks are given to memorize it. As the child masters the alphabet and reading rules, the lessons take the form of stories about the adventures of the characters, in which English expressions are skillfully woven into the narrative and repeated by the child after the adult.
