Murder on the Orient Express: A book for reading in English.
The Trans-European Express finds itself trapped in snow on its route from Istanbul to Calais. A heavy snowfall forces the driver to stop the train in a field. Meanwhile, in one of the compartments, the body of a murdered American is discovered. The investigation into this murder is taken on by an unusual passenger, the famous Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot.
