In youth, a person is drawn to risk and danger lurks. It would be great if a... wise mentor appeared on the path, but what if a villain pretending to be a kindly person uses you maliciously?.. The main characters of the book are Prince of Bohemia Florizel and his faithful companion Colonel Geraldine, who love adventure. They meet a strange young man handing out pastries. Eventually, everyone finds themselves in a gloomy house where an unusual society has gathered. Bound by an oath, the heroes are forced to participate in a horrific game: by the will of the cards, one of the visitors of the secret club must die, and another must become his killer. In the second part, an innocent young man finds a corpse in his bed that he cannot get rid of. In the third plot, the young man witnesses and becomes a participant in how just punishment overtakes a criminal.
