"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" is one of the most famous fantastical stories by Francis Scott Fitzgerald, which he called the tales of the Jazz Age: a man is born 70 years old and lives his life backward, going... from an old man to a baby. The author wrote about the concept of this unusual work: "The idea for the plot came from Mark Twain's observation about how sad it is that the best part of life comes early on, while the worst comes later. My experiment is just about one person in a very ordinary world hardly able to do justice to that idea."
The book also includes stories in the style of Jazz Age tales "May Day" and "Oh, Red Witch!".
