Elementary! is a cooperative detective game in which you need to solve a crime together using information on cards. Analyze the information received, reveal the necessary cards and discard those that you believe are irrelevant to the case.

The secrets of quiet Oxford. The cooperative board game The Death of an Archaeologist is a detective game from the series "Elementary!" Investigators will need to examine the testimonies of the deceased's relatives and friends, review the setting of the office, which was the scene of the crime, compare newspaper articles covering a period leading up to the tragedy, and reconstruct the chronology of events. But be careful – not all the collected information is related to the murder!
Join forces. Information comes to the investigation team from disparate sources, making it difficult for the team to share it. Players of the board game The Death of an Archaeologist can freely share their versions and assumptions, but facts are another matter. They are presented on cards, which initially are held by the players (2 or 3 each, depending on the number of participants) and become public information only if a player decides to include it in the case. Then the card is placed face up on the table, and any detective can read the information presented on it, but if it turns out that the lead was false at the end, the person who declared this clue important will lose a point.
Nothing unnecessary! A player can send a card to the discard pile if they believe it does not contain any significant information. Moreover, by the end of the game, each player must have at least six cards in the discard pile, otherwise, that player will also face a penalty. However, when discarding a card, try to remember its contents, as at the end of the game it may turn out that this information is exactly what the team lacks to build the correct version of events.
The results of the investigation. When all the evidence, witness testimonies, and other information have been analyzed and sorted into important and unimportant, detectives must answer the question of who and why killed Edward Carter, as well as solve another riddle related to this crime. Alone is not a warrior. The board game The Death of an Archaeologist from the "Elementary!" series can be played solo: in this case, the player has a total of six cards and there is a temporary discard pile that they will need to review again. Perhaps it is easier to make decisions alone, having all the information, or maybe only by discussing the investigation details together will you get closer to the solution faster.
