Cyprus. 1974. A couple of young lovers, Greek Kostas and Turkish Defne, meet in secret at a romantic tavern under the shade of an old fig tree growing right in the hall. This tree witnesses the tragic events that split... the once peaceful beautiful island in half, distorting the fates of its inhabitants and seemingly forever separating Kostas and Defne… London.
