The Foreigner. Return Home

Sooner or later, this had to happen. I returned to my homeland, to the capital of the Minsk principality. Just a few years ago, I would have been very happy about this fact. But who was I then? A poor... relative, unable to rise above the rank of a Warrior and having given my life as collateral for a peace treaty between two warring clans. Only later did I learn that I was not needed by one set of relatives, and the others could do nothing when I was sent to China. But now, having returned, everything has changed. I have something to lose, and for each side of the family, I am something of a prize. Big money — that's a lot of dirt, and no one intends to take my interests into account. I still don’t know how to fend off their greedy hands! But one thing I know for sure: if they are confident of an easy victory over me, they are very much mistaken!
