Yosuke Takahashi's manga is characterized by a pronounced moralistic nature, somewhat reminiscent of classic fables. The passionate desires that engulf Takahashi's heroes grow into obsession and then turn into sins. And for sins, one must pay. In addition to established notions of ghosts, werewolves, and other mythical beings, the author mocks some modern pursuits, such as the desire to become more beautiful than God created you to be or the widespread battle against obesity, reducing seemingly noble intentions to what they truly represent — vanity as a form of moral deformity.
