Anatomical Trains

The 4th edition of Anatomical Trains allows for a multidimensional understanding of the functioning of the musculoskeletal system. This approach is aimed at identifying the true causes of chronic pain in the body, which are often related to so-called silent areas. By working with anatomical trains, clinicians can develop new, more effective treatment strategies for patients. T. Myers offers a revolutionary approach to studying human myofascial anatomy by developing a whole map of meridians, continuous lines in the human body that can help determine the true source of pain. The book presents methods for assessing posture and reading the body, details incorrect movement patterns encountered in therapist practice, and provides recommendations for correction. Each section is accompanied by a large volume of photographs, many of which were taken specifically for the 4th edition. The main advantages of the new version of the book are: - the content has been completely updated in accordance with the latest research data and includes a new perspective on the idea of Anatomical Trains in motion considering data on elements, properties, neurology, and the origins of the fascial system; - relevant recommendations are described for all types of movement, posture, and modalities of physical treatment; - the intuitive organization of content allows for a more detailed understanding of the area of interest; - the section on transmission force in gait dynamics was co-authored with expert James Graff, and the data on structural integration is based on the works of Ida Rolf; - new photographs and images of fascial tissues, adhesions, and layers provide a better understanding of the text content. The book will be useful for physiotherapists, massage therapists, specialists in patient recovery from traumatic brain injury, yoga instructors, coaches, manual therapists, sports trainers, dance instructors, chiropractors, and acupuncture specialists.
