Logopedics. Theory and Practice: Educational Aid.

This aid (the first edition was published in 1957), written based on the logopedics course (preschool department of the Pedagogical Faculty of the A.I. Herzen State Pedagogical University), presents a scientifically grounded system of methods for overcoming age-related and pathological... deficiencies in children's speech. The pedagogical specifics of preschool education, the nature of speech disorders in preschoolers, and the qualifications of their educators have been taken into account. The age-related phonetic features of preschoolers' speech and some pathological changes in pronunciation that educators can manage on their own are described in detail. In addition to the description of easily applicable methods, more specific methods for correcting difficult-to-remedy speech deficiencies are discussed in detail.
