The Fall

Regular flight 416 of «Coastal Airways», route Los Angeles — New York, one hundred and fifty souls on board. Upon takeoff, captain Bill Hoffman learns that his entire family has been kidnapped by a terrorist who presents simple conditions: either... Bill crashes the plane, or his loved ones will be killed. Former flight attendant T.J. Newman worked for American Airlines for ten years. She sketched the first drafts of her debut novel «The Fall» on napkins during overnight flights while passengers slept, and made the final edits during the coronavirus pandemic, when planes stopped flying.
