This self-study guide is intended for those who are learning English independently. It allows for the development of speaking skills necessary for communication and reading simple literature, and mastering the basics of grammar: the lessons of the self-study guide familiarize... you with the grammatical features of the language and commonly used conversational vocabulary. Having mastered this, one can easily navigate any situation during direct communication with residents of England. To quickly memorize common speech constructions, carefully read the dialogues and the accompanying lexical material, which is supplemented with transliteration (the thematic list is provided in the contents).
In each lesson of the self-study guide, you will find descriptions of lexicogrammatical categories of all parts of speech, exercises for memorizing the studied material, texts using active speech structures. For checking the completed exercises, lesson keys are provided at the end of the book.
