At first glance, the Chuds are an ordinary family of bakers. However, Rose Chud figured out at the age of ten that behind the closed doors of the kitchen, her mom and dad are creating real magic, or rather... baking!... The snickerdoodles from the Chud bakery can easily cure sleepwalking, poppy seed rolls can restore forgotten memories, and cookies can expose a liar. Before leaving the city, mom and dad strictly instructed Rose, her brothers, and her little sister to keep the main family treasure — the Chud Cookbook — locked up and not to tell anyone about it. But as soon as the parents left the house, a mysterious stranger appeared at the doorstep, introducing herself as their fifth cousin. And while the unexpected guest made life for the Chuds more cheerful, Rose has no doubt: Aunt Lily is clearly hiding something. Is she really their relative and here to help at the bakery, or should the brothers and sister keep their distance from her?
