The book "I and Others" by Scottish psychiatrist and one of the ideologists of the antipsychiatry movement Ronald David Laing (1927—1989) is based on the theory of interpersonal communication and group theory, formulated by him as a result of practical... research. This work is dedicated to human relationships, which are rarely simple. In any communication, each participant interprets and draws conclusions, trusts or suspects the other of lying, and interprets the experiences, motives, and intentions of the interlocutor in their own way. A person not only defines the other for themselves but also acts based on the presumed opinions of those around them. The author proposes to look at relationships from the outside, to analyze how they are formed, and how communication with others influences self-identity and perception of reality.
