The Girl from Denmark

Copenhagen, mid-1920s. Artists Greta and Einar Wegener have been married for six years. Greta paints portraits of celebrities, while Einar creates miniature landscapes. One day, Greta asks her husband to pose for her as an opera singer and hands him a pair of women's shoes. From this moment begins the story of Lili Elbe - one of the first transgender women to transition.
