This manual will help high school students prepare for the state final examination in English. The text of the manual is adapted for educational purposes to the Elementary level. Each chapter is accompanied by a commentary, a translation of difficult words and expressions, and tasks in accordance with the requirements of the GIA. They are aimed not only at checking text comprehension but also at practicing vocabulary, grammar, as well as developing reading, speaking, and writing skills. The exercises allow for the formation and development of communicative competencies, which are essential for successfully passing the final exam in the 9th grade. At the end of the manual, answers to all tasks, an English-Russian dictionary, and a final test in the GIA format with keys are provided.
