The Firebird and Other Wonderful Tales

"English Club" presents a collection of folk and author tales from different countries in English. Simple and understandable, adapted for the Beginner (A1) level, the texts are addressed to students in grades 3-4 and anyone who is starting to learn... English and wants to expand their language practice. The book contains five tales: "The Firebird", "Vasilisa the Beautiful", "The Fire Tongs", "The Tale of Johnny the Town Mouse", "Mother Goose and Her Son Jack", and "The Gingerbread Man".

Each tale is accompanied by exercises of two levels of difficulty with keys for reinforcing the material and a translation of words and expressions that may pose difficulties while reading. The resource is developed according to the Federal State Educational Standards and will be a good assistant in preparing for the final exam in English. At the end of the book, readers will find a test and answers in the format of the final exam for grade 4. The test includes tasks on reading, listening, vocabulary, grammar, and speaking. At the end of the collection, there is a brief glossary.
