Women in Love

The adaptation is based on the famous novel by the classic of English literature David Herbert Lawrence, “Women in Love.” The events of the novel take place before World War I. It tells the story of the passionate relationships of... two sisters, Gudran and Ursula, and their lovers. The novel contains the philosophical concepts of Lawrence himself, and features psychologically nuanced descriptions of the characters' emotional states. Many of the ideas are expressed in the spirit of Freudianism. The book includes commentary, exercises for practicing and consolidating speech skills, a vocabulary, and is intended for students in grades 9-11 of schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, as well as a wide audience studying English independently. The MP3 disc contains the English text of the book (without exercises), narrated by a professional speaker, a native English speaker, at an educational pace.
