Central Asia in the Middle Ages

«Central Asia in the Middle Ages» — an unfinished novel by the artist, prose writer, poet, art historian, and filmmaker Pavel Yakovlevich Zaltsman (1912–1985), conceived and written under the impression of his trips for location shooting in Central Asia in the 1930s.
This publication includes for the first time the first part and the plan for the second part of the novel, accompanied by an appendix by Elena Zaltsman and comments and an afterword by Tatyana Baskakova, as well as «Central Asian Tales» and «Central Asian Diary of 1934».
