One of the most famous books in the world about war, which initiated the renowned artistic-documentary cycle by Svetlana Alexievich "Voices of Utopia". The latest... author's edition: the writer, according to her creative method, constantly revises the book, removing censorship edits, inserting new episodes, supplementing recorded women's confessions with pages from her own diary, which she kept during seven years of work on the book. "The War Doesn't Have a Woman's Face" is an experience of unique penetration into the spiritual world of a woman surviving in inhuman conditions of war. Richard Kapuściński Award (2011) for the best work in the reportage genre, the "Angelus" prize for 2010.
