The new school year for Ryuuji Takasu began with an acquaintance with the miniature, yet extremely dangerous Taiga Aisaka, who was nicknamed "Pocket Tiger" in school.

And it so happened that Taiga mistakenly slipped a love letter addressed to the class monitor Yusaku Kitamura into Ryuuji's backpack.

Upon learning about his classmate's feelings for his best friend and feeling sympathy for her, Ryuuji decides to help her, not forgetting, however, his own feelings for Aisaka's friend.
