After the death of her best friend Ingrid, Caitlyn is bewildered and cannot imagine how to cope with the pain of loss. She has shut herself off from family and friends and struggles to understand how to return to school in the new academic year. But one day, Caitlyn finds underneath her bed Ingrid's secret diary, in which she shared her experiences and feelings in the battle with severe depression.
