Memories of War

Having lain in the author's desk for more than 30 years, the manuscript of the book you hold in your hands was not intended for publication. In an attempt to free himself from the oppressive memories, a private soldier recorded a strikingly realistic account of the brutal trench life. The truthfulness with which the author presented the shocking reality of the senselessness and inhumanity of war deeply moved thousands of readers.
