The Crusaders

A classic of Polish literature, an honorary academician of the Saint Petersburg Academy of Sciences, Henryk Sienkiewicz was a brilliant historical novelist. Like Hugo, Dumas, and Tolstoy, he was able to describe the great events of past eras, paying attention to the personality of the individual – the creator of these events.

In 1905, Sienkiewicz was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature with the wording 'For his outstanding merits in the field of epic.'

One of the best works of the writer, the result of his many years of labor, is the novel 'The Crusaders' about the fierce confrontation between Poles and the crusaders and the romantic love of a young Polish beauty and her brave knight.
