"Rurik. The Flight of the Falcon" — a book from the cycle of works about the original history of Rus. The novel is written by Mikhail Zadornov in collaboration with Valentin and Yuliya Gnatyuk, authors of a number of books on ancient Slavic themes, among which is the narrative about Rurik's son Igor and the remarkable trilogy about his grandson Prince Svyatoslav the Brave.
This novel is not purely a documentary historical study, but a work of art about the first Russian prince Rarog-Rurik — a legendary figure, without whom there would be neither Rus then nor Russia today.
