The Silkworm

After the disappearance of writer Owen Quine, his wife turns to private investigator Cormoran Strike. Believing that her husband is simply hiding from his relatives, as has happened before, Leonora Quine hires Strike to find the fugitive and bring him... back to the family fold. But during the investigation, Strike realizes that the situation is far more serious than Leonora suspects. Owen Quine took with him the manuscript of a new novel, in which he portrays almost all of his acquaintances, including some very well-known and influential figures, in an unflattering light.
