Three Cups of Tea - this is a remarkable story about how an ordinary person, possessing nothing but determination, is able to change the world on his own. 
Greg Mortenson worked as a nurse, slept in his car, and kept his few... possessions in a storage unit. In memory of his deceased sister, he decided to conquer the most difficult mountain, K2. This attempt nearly cost him his life if not for the help of local residents. Several days spent in a Pakistan village cut off from civilization shook Greg so much that he decided to raise the necessary funds and return to Pakistan to build a school for village children. 
Despite the fact that Greg managed to create one of the most successful charitable organizations in the world, build 171 schools and several dozen women's and medical centers in the poorest villages of Pakistan and Afghanistan, and despite the fact that THREE CUPS OF TEA were published in 48 countries and sold a total of 7,000,000 copies, in 2011 Greg was accused of lying and American publishers stopped reprinting his books.
