Lucky Luke is a charming and fearless lone cowboy from the time of the conquest of the American Wild West. He is a real hero, and even a superhero, honest and just, a defender of the weak and helpless. He... always stands on the side of the law, helping local authorities resist bandits and other villains. Like a true superhero, he has his super ability: to shoot faster than his own shadow! Each story about Lucky Luke is an exciting and quite educational comedic western that reflects real events related to the development of the Wild West. This time, Lucky Luke is assigned to escort the Wells Fargo diligence, transporting passengers and a valuable load of gold across half of America, from Denver to San Francisco. The heroes are faced with another dangerous journey in the typical mode of transport of those times – the diligence, which has become in some way a symbol of the era of Wild West development. “Diligence” is not only a western but also a detective, as Lucky Luke has to identify a traitor among the passengers who, along with accomplices, plans to rob the diligence and seize the chest of gold. Comics about Lucky Luke are aimed at the broadest audience. Both children and older readers will be delighted by the adventurous storyline, virtuoso caricature drawings, and good irony and humor present in every frame. The humor, based, as a rule, on wordplay and the principles of situational comedy, never stoops to low blows. And despite the fact that the heroes often wave guns and make bang-bang sounds, there is no rudeness or violence in these stories. The main hero shoots only to deftly knock the weapons out of the opponents' hands with precise shots. And the opponents, of course, always miss. It can be confidently said that in none of the stories has a single character been harmed. If not counting the bruises and bumps that the negative heroes occasionally justly receive.
