World of Warcraft: The Shattering. Prelude to Cataclysm

Thrall, the wise shaman and leader of the Horde, is seriously concerned: the elementals, powerful spirits of the elements, no longer heed the call of the shamans. The connections between them are thinning and breaking, as if something has deeply... disturbed Azeroth itself. While Thrall is trying to make sense of what is happening, his people look uncertainly to the future — the Horde's resources are dwindling, and relations with the neighboring night elves are becoming increasingly hostile.
At the same time, King Varian Wrynn of Stormwind is leaning towards responding to the growing tension between the Alliance and the Horde with military action. Such a hardline approach threatens to alienate even the closest people to the king, including his son, Anduin. Torn by contradictions, the young prince is trying to find his own path, but risks being caught up in a whirlwind of political events that are pushing the world to the brink of destruction.
The future of the great races of Azeroth is shrouded in a fog of uncertainty. And the unpredictable behavior of the elementals, frightening in itself, may only be the first ominous sign of the impending Cataclysm…
