Board game - Settlers of Catan: Merchants and Barbarians (expansion)

Attention! This is an expansion. You will need the base version of Catan ("Settlers of Catan") to play.
Experience new adventures! In the north of Catan, construction is underway. Heavy wagons are struggling through the mud and deep potholes on the... bustling roads of the island. The convoy is carrying marble and glass for the castle - the residence of the Catan Council. You - the commander of the convoy - won’t have time to laugh if bands of barbarians block the way.
Approach the coast, and you will see dark smoke rising. The robbers have once again attacked the coastal towns! Where are the brave knights who will rise to fight the wild hordes? And what about the south? Is a camel caravan coming out of the desert? These nomads are bringing essential goods and want to receive wool and grain in exchange. Make sure their caravans don’t bypass your settlements! And that’s not all: to the east, other settlers are colonizing the banks of the rivers of Catan, building bridges, and making big profits. With such competition, you might find yourself at the end of the game as a pauper in the Dead End of Losers…
“Merchants and Barbarians” allow players to experience five new, exciting adventures on the island of Catan. In addition, four variants of the game have been developed that will make the game even more diverse. One of these variants is “Catan for Two”. Those who have only dreamed of colonizing Catan in “duel” mode can now, thanks to this expansion, enjoy not only the main game but all variants and scenarios of this version.
The game “Merchants and Barbarians” is not a fully standalone game. It can only be played together with the original game “Settlers of Catan”!
