Engaging Reading in English: Martin Eden. Sherlock Holmes

Before you is a self-teaching manual of a new type: we read a literary work and gradually master the vocabulary and grammar. The book includes world-famous works: the novel by J. London "Martin Eden" and three stories about Sherlock Holmes... by A. Conan Doyle. The texts of the works are adapted and provided with detailed lexical and grammatical commentary located in the margins, opposite the commented place. The comments contain references to the relevant rule of English grammar. The volume of the grammar reference placed immediately after the works corresponds to an upper-intermediate level, so it can be successfully used in the future. At the end of the book, there is an English-Russian dictionary containing the vocabulary of the works. The book is intended for everyone who has started and continues to learn English, who strives to read in English.
