Short Stories = Short Stories

This collection consists of adapted stories by the American writer O. Henry. The text of the stories is somewhat shortened, and difficult words and expressions are replaced with commonly used ones. Each story in the collection is accompanied by page-by-page commentary, as well as exercises aimed at checking comprehension, practicing vocabulary and grammar rules, and developing speaking skills. The book is intended for 10th-grade students of secondary schools, gymnasiums, and lyceums.
