Sun and Steel

Yukio Mishima is the most famous and widely read Japanese writer in the world. He gained fame equally for his works in every conceivable genre (novels, plays, stories, essays) and his extravagant lifestyle and death (harakiri after an unsuccessful coup attempt). This edition includes two plays - "The Marquis de Sade" and "My Friend Hitler", the essay "Sun and Steel" and the famous novella "Patriotism", which, according to Mishima, is "a story about true happiness". All works of Yukio Mishima are presented in the translation of the famous writer, Japanologist, and literary scholar Grigory Chkhartishvili (Boris Akunin).
