The Game

What lesson did I learn after my fun cost my hockey team an entire season last year? No more flops. No more messing around, period. As the new team captain, I need a new philosophy: hockey and school first, then girls. That is, I, Hunter Davenport, officially embrace celibacy… no matter how complicated it all gets. But the rules say nothing about me not being able to be friends with a girl. And I won’t lie: my classmate Demi Davis is a cool girl. Her witty mouth is damn hot, just like everything about her, but the fact that she has a boyfriend rules out any temptation to touch her. It’s just that three months into our friendship, Demi is single and looking for a new relationship. And she has her sights set on me. Avoiding her is impossible. We’re working together on a year-long school project, but I’m sure I can resist her. Nothing will come of it between us anyway. We come from different backgrounds, have different goals, plus her parents can’t stand me. Hooking up with her is a very bad idea. I just have to convince my body… and my heart.
