Gone with the Wind. Volume 2

The Old South has fallen, and Scarlett O’Hara is burdened with worries she has never known before. Her ancestral home, Tara, is threatened with loss, and it has become more precious to her than anything. The desire to keep her home drives the heroine to seek support where she least expected to find it. She needs to restore fertility to the devastated land. She makes practical and tough decisions, not looking back at her previous notions of how one should live. The post-war trials increasingly tie her fate to Rhett Butler, while her attachment to Ashley Wilkes continues to influence her choices.
