The Godzilla Effect

«The Godzilla Effect» — an ironic detective story about a television journalist and writer Elena, who, along with her friend Irka, takes on an investigation after a dangerous incident at a fitness club. The city's everyday life quickly shifts to the search for a criminal, and a random detail noticed by the pool makes Irka a target for an unknown assailant. The heroines have to act without professional investigators, relying on their observation skills, friendship, and the help of Aunt Ida. The tense case is interspersed with irony, family conversations, and the involvement of a large gray cat named Volka.

The incident at the pool disrupts the friends' usual training, and soon danger threatens Mara — Irka's twin sister. The friends realize that the criminal is trying to conceal important circumstances of what happened. To restore the chain of events and outsmart the attacker, they begin their own investigation. Aunt Ida, with her impeccable manners, and her cat Volka join the search.
