The Street of Writers

At the center of the story is the friendship and hidden rivalry between Edwin Rirdon and Jasper Milvain. One is experiencing a creative crisis and does not want to sacrifice artistic integrity, while the other views literature as a craft and knows how to leverage connections, trends, and market demands. Their choices affect not only their careers but also their loved ones. Against this backdrop, family debts arise, dependence on critics and publishers, struggles for publications, and the painful question of whether it is possible to maintain dignity where much is measured by sales and profit.
