The Keeper of Books from Auschwitz. A Graphic Novel

Dita loves to read. But in Auschwitz, books are forbidden — the penalty is death. Teenager Dita Adlerova, along with her family and thousands of other Jews, finds herself in the deadliest concentration camp of World War II — Auschwitz. One day, she is entrusted with several books, and from that moment on, she becomes their keeper. Risking her life, Dita helps children and adults momentarily forget the horrors of the camp — even if only through imagination. But she must be careful: Dr. Mengele, known for his monstrous experiments, is watching her.

Salva Rubio and Loreto Aroca have turned Antonio Iturbe's bestseller into a graphic novel — an incredible yet true story of a girl who survived the hell of Auschwitz.
