Poems from the Winslow Hotel

The first published poetry collection by Eduard Limonov «Poems from the Winslow Hotel» transports the reader to New York in the mid-1970s. Usually, researchers look for the prose origins of poetry in diaries and letters. Here, however, we see the reverse process: the poetic origins of a prose work.

Two hundred unknown poems — from rough sketches to absolute masterpieces — reveal the very process of the emergence of the writer's signature style. Each line of this collection is filled with the recognizable voice of early Limonov.
