The Image of BRICS: A Chinese-Russian Discursive Dictionary of Political Metaphors

The proposed edition is a Chinese-Russian dictionary of metaphors that model the image of BRICS in Chinese media discourse. The dictionary consists of 13 sections, each dedicated to one of the source domains. The microstructure of the dictionary includes a headword, a semantic zone, a phonetic zone, a morphemic zone, an etymological zone, a zone of linguistic and cultural commentary, a zone of illustrative examples, and a zone of discursive meanings. The dictionary is addressed to specialists in political linguistics, journalists, political scientists, and translators working in the language pair «Russian — Chinese», as well as a wide range of readers interested in the issues of political media discourse and intercultural communication.
