Frost on Metal

In Rostov the Great, a quiet hippie named Ivan chops wood and listens to old rock. No one knows that he is — a living wooden statue of Saint John the Baptist. And that he is planning a daring museum heist to bring back to life seven brother statues.

But in his way stands the pagan goddess Mokosh, embodied in red wood. She blackmails, burns churches, and demands the loot for herself. A world where Christian relics coexist with swamp idols, and time flows through wood, plunges Ivan into a criminal struggle with ancient evil.

“Frost on Metal” — an attempt to peek into a hidden city where Slavic paganism is intertwined with Orthodoxy, and wooden people argue with God. And lose — because arguing with your creator is impossible.
